If you feel sad I can eat you
A big part of #vore in a nutshell 🤣
I love when clients give me mspaint sketches for commissions
I am upset about how ominous this is 🙄
The next global pandemic begins now
FTC looking into software/web "dark patterns", submissions requested
The FTC is looking into "what dark patterns are and how they affect consumers and the marketplace. Some of the topics the workshop will examine include:
* how dark patterns differ from sales tactics employed by brick-and-mortar stores;
* how they affect consumer behavior, including potential harms;
* whether some groups of consumers are unfairly targeted or are especially vulnerable; what laws, rules, and norms regulate the use of dark patterns; and
* whether additional rules, standards, or enforcement efforts are needed to protect consumers."
"To assist the agency’s analysis of this issue, the FTC seeks public comments on the following topics to be discussed at the workshop. The FTC is particularly interested in data, studies, research, and other empirical evidence addressing these issues. Interested parties may submit comments electronically at Regulations.gov. The deadline for submitting comments is May 29, 2021."
(The document's slightly confusing, as there was also a workshop - that's already happened - but that was only a starting point)
To offer comments:
Today's furry character of the day is... Fauna from Animal Crossing!
Sorry folks but this is the idea proposal 🎑
During a lunar eclipse an inscription is inscribed on an obsidian cylinder. It reads: "Marry me."
@Taris Given furries come from literally all walks of life (including rocket science, tons in IT, pro gaming, art, crafts, and more) and they're *very* online it's safe to say you can easily find fascinating people. XD
does anyone else feel like furries are just more interesting than most normal people? i can't explain it, i just get that vibe
I’ve really started saying, “I didn’t ask,” in response to unsolicited opinions. I think what I’ve realised is it’s very rare for many of you to hear that.
Why aren't we writing mastodon clients that default to social norm best practices? Write more then 500 characters? Add a CW for long post and change it to a long form ActivityPub post type. Added more then 6 emoji? Add an emoji CW.
And I'm talking like as the person is typing the post. Cross a social norm threshold and the feature shows them its been added before they post. They can turn it off before they post, but they're consciously ignoring the social norm.
What do you think #mastodev? 🤔
