Pagan and early shinto beliefs had much in common in timing and purpose of rituals, how and what spirits and energies were revered and worshipped. However political and social power struggles have tainted their perception and practice and finding good sources is going to be hard.

So yes of course I've chosen a prickly and difficult path of spiritual development, and the path is going to be on the outside of not just the mainstream but even the common belief of the fringes, and I going to have a hard time finding material and allies that share my views 🙄
